Help Center
Simple guides to get started and stay safe while sharing gear.
What is Skister?
Skister helps you coordinate sharing ski gear with people you trust. You list gear, your network requests it, and you track handoffs and returns with helpful reminders.
What is a Ski Network?
A Ski Network helps you connect with the skiing community around you. It can include ski resorts, ski clubs, local communities, events, nearby skiers, and future networking features.
A ski resort is a real-world place. Your Ski Network in Skister is the community feature in the app — often starting by choosing a resort, club, or community where you ski.
Joining a Ski Network in the app helps you discover equipment, connect with other skiers, and participate in your local skiing community — beyond simply picking a single resort.
How it works (3 steps)
Add skis, boots, helmets, and more. Include photos and a clear condition description.
Invite friends/family. Requests stay within your trusted circle.
Use QR handoff (if enabled) and confirm condition on return to avoid disputes.
Safety & trust
- Condition checks: take photos before/after.
- Clear expectations: agree on pickup/return time and any special care instructions.
- Ratings: leave honest feedback to build trust.
Skister helps you track and communicate—no one can “guarantee safety”, but good habits reduce problems.
